Standing amidst a host of St. Louis’ notable authors, Dr. Griffin was one of the authors who participated in Our Pens Are Mighty hosted by the Office of the Comptroller, City of St. Louis at The Missouri History Museum. Featured authors include The Honorable Frankie Freeman, Dr. John Wright, Shirley LeFlore, Eugene B. Redman and Riisa Renee.

Dr. Griffin has spoken to a broad range of audiences from high school and colleges students to educators, social workers, community groups and police. She has painted a clear and convincing picture of the current state of our criminal justice system as one that’s destroying our communities and decreasing our safety in the process. Her message has been conveyed on radio, national television, a PBS documentary and on the stages of the Touhill Performing Arts Center and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Her passionate delivering rivets audiences and spurs them to explore ways of changing a very broken system.
